5K Trail run in Cole's Woods in Glens Falls, NY
About this Event
The 3rd Annual Lyme Away 5K and 1 Mile Walk will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 in Cole’s Woods in Glens Falls, New York. Race start will be 10:00 AM. The race is organized and run by the Lyme Action Network (www.lymeactionnetwork.org).
The Lyme Away 5K was founded by Mercedes Planavsky, Ballston Spa Class of 2017, as a high school community service project. Having a close family member with Lyme disease and with the increase in Lyme disease over the past several years, it was the perfect time to raise awareness. With a list of several organizations that would be great partners, Mercedes chose to partner with The Lyme Action Network (lymeactionnetwork.org).
The Lyme Action Network is dedicated to informing the public about Lyme and other tick-borne diseases and working to help the victims of Lyme disease through education, advocacy, scientific research, and support. The Lyme Action Network is a 501 (c)(3) not for profit organization.

This is a USATF Sanctioned event.
Start/Finish
The Start and Finish are located on the cinder track next to the Glens Falls YMCA. The course will run over the beautiful trails of Cole’s Woods. There are no road or pavement sections.

Registration dates and fees:
Early registration (extended)* -- through 10/8/2018 $22
Regular registration -- 10/9-10/19/2018 $27
Day of race registration at the race site $30

Schedule of Events:
8:30 AM – Race day packet pick-up begins. Day of race registration closes at 9:30 AM
10:00 AM – 5K Run and 1 mile Walk Start – Overall and age group awards in the 5K
11:00 AM - Awards ceremony immediately after the last finishers.

Parking is available in and around the Glens Falls YMCA as well as behind the YMCA in the Rec Center parking lots.
